Short Story

It was General Douglas McArthur who saved postwar Japan and beloved in the country put out a call for 10,000 young Americans to help rebuilt Japan after World War II.

A short drive from Tokyo, Japan, in a beautiful bay on the water, he built a retreat on the water from the city and the area grew to have dozens of colorful vacation homes for the American community in the area.

The area known as “McArthur Heights”, has the McArthur Heights Retreat, just across from the original retreat as a place for ministry continuing the spirit of General Douglas McArthur.

As the facility is aging there is an urgent need to repair the infrastructure, update the heating and water systems as well as meet the newer building codes to continue the timeless ministry.

A place for spiritual retreats, family and volunteer stay as well, there is an urgent need to restore the McArthur Heights Retreat to serve the community.
