What percentage of money that I give is given directly to a project that I gave it to?
92.75%. Buck4Good takes less than GoFundMe and virtually all other sites at 7.25% (+ 25 cents per donation) including credit card fees. Even the supposedly “free” sites actually take more through hidden fees. Let us tell you why this is so important and how we do it. A growing sense of frustration exists, particularly during natural disasters, wherein donors give money, expecting it to help a particular cause or country, only to find out that the donation never made it there. When you make a donation to a Buck4Good, we will only use those funds for that project.

1. All projects are submitted through our thorough online application.

2. These projects are vetted through a system that eliminates projects that don’t fit our platform. Projects that pass through the system then begin an interview process. We check human references, social networks, and more. If approved, a user agreement is signed by all parties agreeing to the truthfulness of the project and holding them responsible for any fraudulent claims.

4. After a project goes through the application, vetting, and interview phases, it is put into our Project Queue. At this point, the world gets an opportunity to choose which project they find the most compelling.

Even with this, no system is 100% fool-proof, but we pledge to go out of our way to be the trusted bridge between donors and people in need. It is an essential part of our mission.

What types of stories does Buck4Good prefer?
The best way to answer this is to look at the current projects that we feature. As you will see, we feature compelling projects of need from all over the world. We try hard to feature projects with an attainable, clear-cut goal. A part of our mission is to promote projects that aren’t being highlighted anywhere else on behalf of people who may not be able to use other platforms.

Are Buck4Good projects limited to the United States?
No. We are wide open to projects from all over the world. Our research shows us that donors prefer to have the option of local and international projects to support.
