Tsunami Japan…The Long Road Home

Operation Tohoku is a ministry of The Japan Emergency Team who arrived hours after the March 11, 2011 terrible tsunami, earthquake and nuclear meltdown that struck Japan.

Long after the media outlets are gone and the next crisis has come, the team continues to work on site providing 24 hour emergency assistance, supplies and working hard to meet the needs of the nearly 200,000 still in emergency housing. We are committed to sticking with those who are suffering until the crisis has passed.

In addition The Japan Emergency Team operates the nation`s only Disaster Relief Vehicle, a 30 foot converted motorhome which provides showers, food, drinks, a mobile canteen and mobile convenience store and medical assistance on site.
